Fortin-Longuemare Duo | Anne-Lise Longuemare
 
 

Now based in Los Angeles, Anne-lise Longuemare was born in France. She moved to Canada where she started piano with her mother and later at Montreal Conservatory with Mrs. Campos, where she was awarded a First Price in piano. She won also prices in Quebec and Canada music competitions. She spent three years in Paris, studied at the Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot and earned an Artist Diploma in solo performance. Returning to Montreal, she completed an Artist Diploma at Montreal University with Mr. Vaillancourt as part of a piano-duo. Anne-Lise received a Masters in solo performance in piano and in 2004, she completed her Doctorate In Music at UCLA with Professor Ponce , writing her dissertation on Iberia by Isaac Albeniz and performing the cycle for her final recital.

She has worked for UCLA department as a Teaching-assistant for Dr. John Hall, as a lecturer for keyboard skills as well as an accompanist for the vocal and instrumental departments.

As a member of the Fortin-Longuemare piano duo, she performed standard repertoire as well as premieres of Quebec composers in Montreal, Banff, Rotterdam and Los Angeles. Fortin-Longuemare duo piano won first price in 1999 at San Diego .

Anne-Lise has played concertos with Montreal Conservatory Orchestra (Canada), Musifleuves Orchestra (France), Mozart Festival Orchestra (Austria) , UCLA And SMC wind ensembles (Los Angeles). She has recorded melodies of Lionel Daunais with Canadian Soprano Chantal Lavigne under ATMA label.
